RECREATION
Our group travels beyond the local community to experience a variety of fun recreational activities. Outings include: theater, sporting events, peer dances, and horseback riding camp!
Horseback Riding Camp
One of our largest fundraisers is the walkathon to provide scholarships for equine assisted therapy camp. Riders develop balance and rhythm from the movement, in which the child indirectly learns how to focus better, tactile senses are stimulated, motor skills are also developed in grooming and there is an increase in self-confidence, which increases the desire and willingness to learn skills at home and/or at school. Learning is no longer scary, but fun, interesting and rewarding.
